A Trip to London early 1970's

A School Trip with Mrs Deerin, Miss Shaw and Mrs McLaughlin (3 sisters who were all teachers at the same time in St Patrick's)
who take a class to meet Willie Baxter MP at the Houses of Parliament in London.
The date is unknown, however Willie Baxter stood down as an MP at the Oct 1974 election so this photo must predate that time.

The Altar Girls
Fr O'Brien now His Eminance Keith Patrick Cardinal O'Brien together with Fr O'Connell was keen to ensure that girls who had previously been excluded from being Altar Servers were involved in the Liturgy and the preparation of the Church before services.

Kilsyth Civic Week 1976  - The Black and White Minstrel Show - on the staircase outside the science rooms.
Kilsyth Civic Week 1976 saw the revival of an earlier idea to mimic the then popular TV program - The Black and White Minstrel Show.
It is amazing how values in society have changed as we would no longer dream about staging such a show with it's potentially offensive racial styreotype theme but
it was done with innocence and enthusiasm by a bunch of great kids and a fabulous teacher.
